Because United Airlines is the carrier for the Vernal Airport, if you are local, you should strongly consider a credit card (such as Chase) that partners with United so you can fly in and out of Vernal! No long drive to the airport, free parking, and security is a breeze. I love flying out of Vernal! You’re going to choose a credit card that gives you a sign up bonus (after meeting a spend within a certain amount of time) which you can convert to airline points to book a free flight.
So, for example, the Chase Explorer Card gives you 50,000 points after you spend $3000 in the first 3 months from account opening. That’s equivalent to 50,000 United miles. Right now, you can book a round trip flight from Vernal to Orlando FL for as little as 49,800 miles + $11.20 for taxes and fees. That same flight would cost you $567 if paying money!
If you’ve got a wedding coming up, it’s a no brainer to open up a credit card that gives you an airline bonus! Depending on your budget, you and your partner could each open one!
