My husband, Aaron, and I celebrated our 15 Year Anniversary last week! I planned a quiet, romantic candlelight dinner at home, sans kiddos. And while a few things didn’t really go as planned, it was the best night I could have asked for. A snow storm blew in, delaying the delivery of the table décor I had ordered for our candlelight dinner. Aaron also ended up having a snow day and not going to work so my plan to surprise him with a kid free date night was spoiled. But, I got to spend the entire day with him, which was way better! After dropping the kids off at cousins for the evening, we watched The Banshees of Inisherin, a dark comedy that was ironically set on a remote island off the coast of Ireland that we had visited several years ago. For that reason, we enjoyed the movie. But it was an odd one (no spoilers here!). We had a candlelight dinner with what we had laying around and it was perfect! A good reminder that it doesn’t have to be fancy for it to be meaningful. It wasn’t until today, that everything arrived. So, I decided to set it up for the fun of it!
